The effective way of defeating Pre-cultural theology-inspired Islamic terrorism

The title of this story sounds like a contrived clich�. But in it hides the nature of the adversary we face today. Use of imagery would make it clearer. What if we were facing a bunch of venomous scorpions instead of Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists as adversaries? Would we have waited for being stung by one of them to launch a attack on them? And after having been stung, would we have limited our action to attacking only those of the scorpions who had stung us?

If you are familiar with U.S. history, consider the way we completely drove out the last Briton (colonialist) from the newly independent United States in 1776, consider the sacking of Atlanta during our Civil War, and the psychological impact on Southerners of Sherman's March to the Sea. Unfortunately, these are the necessary atrocities of a successful military campaign. This is what the history of war teaches: Without a complete and total annihilation of the enemy, he will never come to realize the folly of his ways... and he will rise to fight us again. The point is when and under what circumstances will we be provoked to carry this war to a decisively successful conclusion. Last time it was Pearl Harbor, this time if it has not been 9/11, then will it be a nuke or dirty nuke attack on the West or the US mainland? Or can better sense prevail in our Administration before that happens? Penning this article is one attempt towards that objective.

How appealing would we have found the justification for such selective counter-attacks on the specious argument that attacking those of the scorpions who had not yet attacked us would enrage them to attack us? And again such attack on innocent scorpions (sic) would also create a rage on the scorpion street against us and lead more an more of the scorpions to enter the sleeping cells and join in more attacks on us.

Or to make it closer to home, when the Red Rags gang strikes strollers in the park on 45th Avenue, do we use the National Guards to strike only at the members of this Red Rags gang or move against all gangs to remove the scourge of gangsterism from our streets once and forever?

The answer to both these allegories is obvious. Then why do we need to be so selective and subject ourselves to fallacious and phony filibustering of stopping and reversing the War on Terror and to limit any action, if at all to those who have attacked us.?

Don't all those who come from the ethos of a Pre- cultural theology-inspired terrorism, believe it to be their holy duty to attack all those who are outside their culture, as do scorpions sting anyone who falls in their path? To sting is an instinctive response of a scorpion, quite like an attack (Ghazawat or Razzia) is for those who come from the ethos of Pre-cultural theology- inspired terrorism. Being humans and not scorpions their urge to attack is not dependent on another culture cross their path, but they actively seek out all other cultures to victimize. Scorpions do not actively seek out anyone. So the attack from Pre-cultural theology- inspired terrorists is conditioned on their state of mind which drills into them an imagined superiority of their culture over all others. A psychology that scorpions do not have. So this makes the Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists more dangerous, as you can stay safe if you do not cross the path of scorpions or confine them to a location where you can stay out of harm's way. The same cannot be done with Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists.

A scorpion is inflamed by the sight or touch of another being and it stings as an instinctive response, but the Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists are inflamed when they see liberated women, who dress as they wish live as they wish, and this is enough reason for the Pre- cultural theology-inspired terrorists to launch an attack on us.

There has been a case of a arrested Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorist who had been convicted for rape because of which he wanted to be a suicide (Genocide) bomber. When apprehended before he could blow himself up he confessed that he found Western culture morally decadent as the jury could accept the word of the woman whose modesty he had violated against his word. He found this a sign of Western decadence. Not his own act of rape, but the fact that the word of a lady victim could weigh more than his own in a court of law!

This is one fountainhead of infuriation which Pre-cultural theology- inspired terrorists have against Western culture. But then they also have a "positive" reason for attacking us! They are told that by avenging the humiliation which the West subjects them to by allowing women a liberated existence, they can land up in heaven, where they would enjoy conjugal relations with nymphs (houris), and so some of the suicide bombers in Israel have been found to have enveloped their penises in aluminum foil, to prevent it from burning to be used when fornicating with the houris in heaven!

Can any one in his or her right mind ever try to reason with such depraved specimens of humanity? Scorpions could be easy to deal with, by locking them up or simply swatting them. Do we see any solution for dealing with humans whose instincts are scorpion-like, but whose reason for stinging us are because we exist and live life the way we want to, and their reward for doing so is other worldly?

It is high time we did see a parallel between the scorpions and Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists and also in extending the way we respond to scorpions to the Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists. Only in doing this lies our salvation.

We need to brush aside those who want to lead us up the garden path by saying that if we attack the Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists, it would motivate more of them to attack us an awaken those of whom are dormant. All of those who come from the ethos of Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorism are bound to attack us sometime or the other. The motivation, the justification, the readiness is already in place; what they await is opportunity. And they have the opportunity, they strike. They can lie in wait for years, but never give up their objective - to strike all those who do not follow their depraved outlook. This makes them more dangerous than venomous scorpions.

The Pre-cultural theology- inspired terrorists are those venomous scorpions who actively seek out victims whom they can sting, unlike the real scorpions who sting only if you get into their path. The Pre-cultural theology-inspired terrorists do not wait for you to get into their path, they get into yours. And if you avoid them, they provoke you with a deliberate raid (Ghazawat) as they did on 9/11, 3/11, 7/7, and have done so all through the 1400 years of their history. The victims have varied from Byzantines to Persians, to Chinese, to Mongols, to Spaniards, to Hindus, to Serbs, to Austrians, but their strategy remained intact to attack and if it was not possible to attack directly then to provoke the enemy with a raid (Ghazawat or Razzia) as they have done it New Yrok, Madrid, London, Bali, Beslan and many other places across the globe.

It is up to us to realize the nature of our enemy and respond in kind against an adversary all members of whom draw their motivation for a single source, the Quran, which motivates them to murder all non-Muslims. Atta, Zarqawi, Osama, and Zawahiri or Sistani, Musharraf Mahmoud Abbas, and Mubarak all share the source of their motivation. So how can they be different.

With the Quran setting the principles for forcible conversion of all non-Muslims to Islam and using coercion of treating non-Muslims like 2nd class beings, the base is prepared for the Madaressahs (Islamic theological-terrorism schools) to inculcate these Quranic principles into the minds of every growing generation of Muslims to have this attitude of paranoid coercion. Further at every prayer (Ibadat/Namaz), the Muslim priest (Maulavi) preaches the practice of terror to his audience. This is how a terrorist is born. So the Quran, and what is preached in the Madaressahs and the Mosques are the real origin of terrorism. And until the world over, we do not eradicate these, the problem of terrorism will not end.

All the billion and half of those who take their inspiration from the Quran have the same murderous instinct. The difference is that in some the opportunity does not present itself to execute their instinct. The instinct does not differ. And in some discretion is the better part of valor, but there to the instinct is same. As the case is so hopeless, the only hope of breaking this circle of hate is by delivering a message in kind to all the billion and a half Muslims that would disabuse them of any hope for victory over us with their method of murder and mayhem. We need to be prepared for this as soon there will come a point when widespread Muslim terror attacks against the U.S. will no longer allow military actions as we have taken in Iraq and Afghanistan and will call for a re-appraisal of our military strategy. A re-appraisal as happened during World War 2 when the allies in 1939 began by bombarding Germany with pamphlets asking the Germans to make peace, to the bombing of Dresden to rubble in 1945. It took six years during the last World War to bring about this change. How long will it take now? And in what circumstances now do we reach that point? Here's the dilemma: to have any hope of victory over the Jihadis, we must use a terrible, overwhelming, and insidious force; yet, in using that force we risk losing popular support for the war effort.

Victory requires a devastation so complete as to disabuse the enemy of any and all notions of pride (in this case Arab and Muslim pride) and the futility of resisting us. This kind of psychological change is forced in the enemy only by visiting a defeat on him that is so horrendous and complete that his very existence is dependent upon your will. Think of the bombing of Tokyo, and the fire- storms that followed in 1945. Think of Dresden. It is said that bombs fell in Dresden until the only effect was to bounce the rubble. Think of Hiroshima (horrendous as it seems, but can we prevent it from coming to that sometime in this war?).
